Distinguish mental, physical and general development of the personality. Understand development of intelligence, will, emotions, and also requirements, abilities and character of the personality as mental development. Physical development is development of an organism, muscles, mobility of joints, etc. The general development – development of mental, physical, moral and other qualities of the personality.

Despite intensive development of the educational theory, the pedagogics continued to remain part of philosophy. As the special science pedagogics was for the first time allocated from system of philosophical knowledge at the beginning of the XVII century. Registration of pedagogics as independent scientific discipline connects most of researchers with a name of the great Czech teacher Jan Amos Komensky (1592-16 the principles Formulated by it, methods, forms of the organization of study with children and moral education became the integral elements of the subsequent scientific and pedagogical systems.

That the pedagogics put forward such large number of large teachers, is not casual. Society with its intensive development of production, science and culture demanded increase of literacy of the main producers.

According to the PS elements five structural elements of pedagogical activity are allocated: design (aim), constructive (the contents, communicative (training-trained), organizational (process and forms), Gnostic (teacher). In other words, the teacher in the professional activity sets the purposes, develops the contents, selects means, will organize process of training and interaction of its participants.

Process of education is directed on formation of socially important qualities of the personality, on creation and expansion of a circle of her relations to world around – to society, to people, to itself. The system of the relations of the personality to various aspects of life is wider, more various and deeper, the her own inner world is richer.

Means, formation of the identity of the person is a process of her formation under the influence of numerous factors, natural and public, external and internal, acting spontaneously and according to certain rules, with application of certain means.

The pedagogical thought gained further development in works of thinkers of Renaissance (the XIV-XVI centuries).
